A Quality System Starts With Quality Components ......

Phase 1 - Oil Removal - Not all coalescing filters are alike. Some work significantly better than others. The filter that we selected was chosen because independent laboratory test verified its performance. it represented the optimum mix of filtration efficiency, durability and serviceability.

Guaranteed element life: One (1) year.

Residual oil carryover: 0.002 parts per million

Phase 2 - Water Removal - In addressing  this problem, we knew that old existing technologies were simply not working. Many dental offices we visited were experiencing serious water problems in their compressed air, even though "dryer" were installed. Dew points lower than refrigerated types can produce are needed to totally eliminate moisture. Traditional desiccant type dryers can achieve very low dew points, but they are very expensive and not practical. The ultimate solution would be a dryer with dew point performance like a desiccant type, and a cost structure like a refrigerated type. Guess what --- We did it!

Phase 3 - Hydrocarbon Removal - Many people chose to ignore this contaminant. They really shouldn't. The hydrocarbon are what make the air supply smell bad and taste funny. The critical design consideration in an activated carbon type filter is the effective life of the filter media. This is purely a function of the surface area. We chose a filter media with tremendous surface area -- in fact, three (3) times as much surface area as any other filter normally supplied for this application. The result is outstanding  performance and exceptionally long service life.

Guaranteed element life: One (1) year.

Residual Hydrocarbons: 0.001 parts per million

Phase 4 - Pathogen Removal - In addressing this problem our task was significant ! Existing membrane filter technology proved to be inadequate. A new approach was required. The solution after years of development is Virex®.

Virex® is a sophisticated ultra filtration membrane that is specifically designed for  applications requiring the purest of air. First, the effective pore size of our membrane is exceptionally small -- 0.04 micron. It is also exceptionally uniform. Pore size and uniformity are critical in determining the size of the pathogens that a membrane can filter.

Secondly, the Virex® element can be very easily changed, and more importantly -- safely changed. The element can be handled without ever having to touch the contaminated filter surface. This benefit does not occur with traditional membrane filter designs. In traditional designs, it is necessary to actually touch the filtration surface in order to remove the element from its housing.

Finally, because of its innovative construction, Virex® has an extraordinarily large surface area. This results in a very high contaminant-holding capacity which in turn allows for extended change-out intervals.

All Virex® element are manufactured in a "Clean room" in accordance with FDA approved Good Manufacturing Practices. Each element is stringently tested prior to shipment.

Guaranteed element life: One (1) year

Membrane pore size: 0.04
